About The Youth Council

Heathfield Youth Council is comprised of a group of young people who get together every Friday at the Youth Centre and work on and discuss local issues to make Heathfield and the surrounding areas a better place for young people.

Over the years we have built bridges between generations, visiting the elderly residents of Mary Burfield; played a big part in the Barn Project, which involves a basketball, hockey and football complex; we have received funding for many musical instruments (including guitars and a drum kit) and a DJ Booth, which has proved very popular. We have also helped with the renovations to the lounge and kitchen areas, and of course, this website!

We are currently working on the Youth Express, a request transport service which allows everyone to get to the Youth Centre.
