People who have already done the award are all in praise of the award and encourage it to all who are willing to try it.
“I have just completed my Bronze award, and have got so much from it. I have added many skills to my future life, as well as strengthening my friendships with the other people in our group.”

As well as all this you’ll enjoy loads of new experiences, discover talents you never thought you had, you’ll make a difference to other people’s lives and your community, be fitter and healthier, make new friends, have memories to last you a lifetime, challenge yourself and meet loads of people just like you.
The minimum age to start the award is fourteen. The first award is bronze and once you have completed that, you can progress to the silver award and then gold.
A Bronze D of E programme has 4 sections, Volunteering, Physical, Skills and Expedition.
